ahhh — this helps w/ understanding meditation reports of "infinite/boundless space and consciousness." when the field of experience is without distinction, & there's no construction of 'things,' then of course the resulting phenomenology is unbounded/infinite.

This is a pretty standard sequence, & why I think it's time to get Thomas Metzinger on Ezra Klein's podcast: Ezra: what's up with advanced meditation's world-shattering experiences? Mark Epstein: It's love. Which, sure, might be the most parsimonious thing we can actually say.
