Now we see RB Leipzig, despite hundreds of millions of investment money + the advantage of a network of subservient academies and clubs, finishing behind far poorer e.V. clubs in Freiburg and Mainz. I don’t want to hear anyone tell us all how well run they are ever again

I absolutely love Finaltag der Amateure, it's one of my favourite things in German football. I don't know if any other country has anything like it, and I can't imagine that there's any non-professional football elsewhere that gets more viewers (2m peak viewers apparently)

Any criticism of Erik Ten Hag because of the transfers he made at Man Utd is completely irrelevant to Leverkusen. No club in Germany and no serious club anywhere is ever going to give their coach control of transfers like that

Why on earth did they need to look at that for hours? A player was in an offside position and tried to play the ball, no matter what that has to be offside. #ELVFCH

Personally I really dislike the trend of using old badges on a third kit anyway, but this is the worst one - it's not a good badge, and Leverkusen never used it on kits in this form before

Small clubs in Germany really can’t win, people just love to complain. A team like Havelse gets promoted and people are mad because they “don’t belong” in the 3rd division. It’s a great achievement for a semi pro club without investors, they deserve to be celebrated
