Greetings from the Ordovician-Silurian boundary of Anticosti Island! Having a fantastic field season with Dr. Leptaena (Selina Cole), Melanie Hopkins, OU Geosciences grad students, & Invert Paleo teams from the American Museum of Natural History and Sam Noble Museum


๐ Researchers from Sam Noble Museum have secured a $621,781 grant from U.S. National Science Foundation to explore Earth's first major mass extinction. ๐ฆ The team led by members from OU Geosciences will embark on groundbreaking expeditions to Anticosti Island in Canada. ๐ more : link.ou.edu/46M451N


Very proud of this outstanding team of Sam Noble Museum & American Museum of Natural History researchers and OU Geosciences grad students. We had a wonderful field season exploring the paleontology of Anticosti Island!

Yesterday was an incredible day with OU Geosciences and University of Oklahoma! I had the privilege of meeting with students and faculty and delivering two lectures that demonstrated how #MachineLearning can enhance #Geoscienceโand how geoscience, in turn, can inform machine learning
