Bobby Bell, the 1962 Outland Trophy winner from Minnesota Football, turned 85 on June 17. Bell is one three Outland recipients who played for Minnesota. The most recent is center Greg Eslinger in 2005.


Bruce Smith, the 1984 Outland Trophy winner from @HookieFB, celebrates his 62nd birthday today. Smith was the No. 1 overall NFL Draft Pick in 1985 by the Buffalo Bills. He has been inducted into both the college and pro football hall of fames.
