This season announcement is more than a breath of fresh air, it’s a full on gale. Not sure what I’m most excited about tbh - probably Nassim Soleimanpour - but this is the first time in a long time I’ll be booking multiple shows at the Royal Court in one season.

Bridge Command opens today, on #WorldTheatreDay, four years almost to the day after it closed in its previous venue due to COVID. There is a lot wrong with the world at the moment, and theatre in the uk has many problems, but today I am going to let myself be grateful.

We enjoyed the last time we pretended to fly a spaceship so much we went back to BRIDGE COMMAND and had even more fun. This time we knew what we were doing and there were more things we were supposed to blast away and we rose to the occasion.

BRIDGE COMMAND The sets are absolutely huge (this is just the bridge of one of the two mission ships) and full of lovely details, the backstory is great, the missions really well designed, and the actors fantastic. It’s not a cheap night out but brilliant if you’re at all in to that.
