This week is the LIGO EGO & the Virgo Collaboration KAGRA Gravitational Wave Observatory (LVK) collaboration meeting in beautiful Barcelona on all things gravitational wave 🌊🌊 We are very proud of CGA@ANU PhD student Dana Jones who gave a great talk on GW searches for ultralight vector bosons around known black holes 🌑

The University of Oxford twistor group partially reformed for dinner last night - Roger Penrose, Lionel Mason (host), Lane Hughston, Susan Scott. A wonderful reunion with lively conversation well into the night. Roger is still such an inspiration! Australian Institute of Physics Australian Academy of Science ourANU

During the AIP Congress Official in Melbourne, IOP Publishing hosted a dinner last night for IOPP journal Editorial Board Members. I attended in my capacity as Editor-in-Chief of Classical and Quantum Gravity. It was wonderful to meet Michele Dougherty (3rd on right), President-Elect of Institute of Physics

Congratulations Mike Tobar (UWA) for receiving the 2024 Harrie Massey Medal - a joint medal of Australian Institute of Physics and Institute of Physics. It was awarded at the AIP Congress 2024 dinner held on Wednesday evening next to the hallowed turf of 'the G' Melbourne Cricket Ground

The Lego Ligo! ~ Michelson Interferometer. This was designed by myself Matt Dodds and Frank Frank. Complete with 3D printed mirror mounts & Edmund Optics mirrors.Looking forward to sharing this Jackie Bondell OzGrav Susan Scott LIGO Magazine LIGO Hanford LIGO LIGO Livingston

Very honoured today to receive the Australian Mathematical Society most prestigious award - George Szekeres Medal - at joint meetings with the American Mathematical Society and NZ Mathematical Society in Auckland. My research in general relativity was partly inspired by work of George Szekeres! Australian Academy of Science ourANU

In this Editorial I mention some of the recent exciting gravitational science published in CQG, and reflect on possible breakthrough gravitational science which may be covered by the journal in the next 40 years! 🍎 🌊🌊 🌑🌠 OzGrav Australian Institute of Physics Institute of Physics Australian Academy of Science
