The most interesting thing in tech: Anthropic let its AI model, Claude, run a vending machine in its office. It went very wrong! But it was an extremely useful experiment for showing the gaps in AI, and props to them for publishing it.

As the new school year approaches, students ask the perennial question: what languages to learn? In no particular order: Python, Stata, Matlab, Mathematica, Julia, C++, R, and Linux. Yes, sounds a lot but LLMs have reduced significantly the entry cost.
