Proud to have contributed to this work lead by Jakob T Rostøl, Nuria Quiles and José R Penadés. We demonstrated how noncontiguous operons serve as a strategy to balance immunity and autoimmunity in different prophages. Read the paper for details! nature.com/articles/s4156…

Great article! Big congrats to the authors! 🙌🏽 It seems that noncontiguos operons play a key role in regulating the expression of antiphage defense systems. A highly efficient strategy, indeed!

For the past two years, we have been working on a novel approach to identify origins of transfer by conjugation in plasmids from any bacterial species. We are thrilled to see this work now published in Nature Microbiology after thorough peer review! nature.com/articles/s4156…

It's always a pleasure to be back at #XXXCongresoSEM to meet up with old friends and meet new colleagues! I had the pleasure to present the work we are doing at IMDEA Nutrición, studying the changes that occur in the Microbiota during aging. #microbiome #aging 🧫🔬
