New preprint led by fantastic Margherita Colucci on the impact of malaria on shaping human habitat choice over the last 74,000 years! 🦟🧪 So proud of the work of all the authors and so grateful for having been able to play a little part in it 🤗🥰 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

So brilliant this piece by Cecilia Padilla-Iglesias about how human societies have often been so flexible that political hierarchies change with the seasons, literally. Link in next tweet

Although most of our lab members are now in the other place - I'll share here this fantastic paper that they just published in nature showing a major expansion of the niche of our species before the dispersal out of Africa! Have a read, it is amazing 😍 nature.com/articles/s4158…

This is really sad news. Sapiens was a fantastic medium to share, promote and diversify anthropological research and insights and the platform where many people (like me) learnt and developed skills in science communication. Times are tough, but Sapiens’ niche is now left empty☹️
