Advocates for the clean energy transition want to save the status quo at U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Program Office (LPO), claiming it is needed for Donald J. Trump’s energy dominance agenda. In reality, LPO is the Green New Scam’s ATM. It must be reformed or retired for good. 🧵

AI is fueling an energy surge. With 19 gigawatts of new data center capacity on the way, outdated U.S. energy policy is falling behind. CEI’s Paige Lambermont shows why market-driven reform, not top-down mandates, is the key to powering AI.

America’s rising power demand, driven by AI data centers, is bringing retired plants back online. Nuclear, natural gas, and even coal are seeing a revival, with major projects like Homer City’s new energy campus leading the way. | Paige Lambermont

One of my favorite moments this year was speaking on Capitol Hill alongside Adam Michel and Paige Lambermont. We made the case that repealing the IRA’s costly subsidies could clear the path for deficit-conscious, pro-growth tax cuts. cato.org/multimedia/eve…

Great to see the Trump administration directing the NRC to "reconsider reliance on the linear no-threshold (LNT) model for radiation exposure and the 'as low as reasonably achievable' standard," This is long overdue.

On May 23, Trump signed 4 executive orders to reform nuclear regulation and boost capacity to 400 GW by 2050 this is twice Biden's goal. Key target: fixing the NRC’s red tape that has long throttled reactor development. Independent Women's Voice Paige Lambermont cei.org/blog/new-nucle…

Call me crazy, but ending solar subsidies isn't what is going to result in blackouts. Retiring reliable power plants will (and has). Where were y'all when 150 GW of coal capacity was being shut down over the last decade. Cheering?

No. The house will be voting to end subsidies for these projects. If the developers then decide to cancel them because they are not economically viable without them, it’s on the developer.

Rereading the Declaration of Independence in advance of the fourth and I'm struck by the usage of mid sentence capitalization for emphasis. We should bring back this affectation, it brings so much to the writing.
