Thank you to all who helped us kick off our IT and Underwriting Summit at the Eden Resort in Lancaster, PA yesterday!

Our educational portion of the IT and Underwriting Summit began with John Ehinger discussing data analytics and the transformation of the industry.

Following was a presentation by David Buono, Deputy Insurance Commissioner of the PA Insurance Department, providing a PA and NAIC Cybersecurity update.

Leading our panel discussion on risk is Matthew Holden of Farmers Fire with Jason Trock and Josh Darr of Guy Carpenter and Nathanael Waite of Goodville Mutual. This session covered the challenges faced in the evaluation of risk and the tools and help available to assist carriers.

Insurers are improving their organizations by utilizing a more data-driven approach to decision making. Eric Weisburg of Aite-Novarica came to discuss some of the ways insurers are leveraging these new technologies to enhance efficiency.

Along with several IT, underwriting and other insurance professionals, PAMIC had the privilege of hosting students from Alvernia University. Thank you all who came out for our first ever joined IT and Underwriting Summit!
