Excited to have been awarded this grant for our project on the holistic assessment of wild baboon welfare! It’s great that Wild Animal Initiative | @wildanimalinitv.bsky.soc is supporting research into this important and under-researched topic 🔎🐒




The first group of U.S. National Science Foundation #IRES students have landed in Kenya! We’re spending a few days in Nairobi before heading to the Uaso Ngiro Baboon Project and took the opportunity to check out the National Museums of Kenya 🇰🇪


Our co-Directors Monica Wakefield and Corinna Most received a grant from Wild Animal Initiative | @wildanimalinitv.bsky.soc to study welfare in wild olive baboons. Here’s to a great field season! 🥂
