Loving our mother tongue shouldn't require us identifying its linguistic family, particularly based on a method deemed 'scientific' by someone. Instead, it should arise from a profound sense of gratitude – gratitude for the ways in which it has empowered us and our predecessors.

This verse, composed on the occasion of my birthday, plays on the meaning of 'krishnabila,' the Telugu translation of 'blackhole.' Taken literally, the verse details worldly emotional turmoil. However, if 'bila' is Lord Krishna, then it signifies samādhi. Both exert strong pull.

After seeing many tweets of books and movies trying to put a random number on the span H history, I remembered this math joke in which a student marks the unknown value "x" of a problem like this. It's not incorrect but offers zero value and hilarious from the math perspective.

A great writer. One line he wrote about the Ramayana stayed with me: 'A washerman in Ayodhya could criticize his King Rama for bringing back his own wife from Ravana's home, but a washerman in Lanka couldn't raise his voice against his King Ravana for kidnapping another's wife.'

By the grace of the gods and my gurus, a Sanskrit paper I wrote a few years back got a chance to see the light. It was published in The Journal of Sanskrit Academy of Osmania University, Volume XXX.

Sri Mallampalli Somasekhara Sarma. He literally uplifted Andhra People and shown us who we are. If he had not been born, we would have been stuck in absurd loops, thinking our past was nothing but darkness. He is someone whom I put on the same pedestal as Potti Sriramulu Garu.

Today is the centenary birth anniversary of Telugu poet Dasarathi Krishnamacharya. His writings awakened and inspired Telangana, giving it a new life force. As a poet, he is very close to my heart for his metrical composition ability and phrase-making prowess. A true stalwart.

A lovely PhD thesis on various kavyas that got composed in Telugu based on Ramayana. A book that acts like a mirror showcasing how much Telugus love the epic. The works that got listed here exhibit immense poetic prowess. A must read.
