A LRRK2 focused day resulted in new collaborations in beautiful Brussels with (some!!) Belgian beer. Wim Versees was an excellent host. Highlight: I got to see Elisa Greggio in person after almost 13 years. Aligning Science Across Parkinsonโ€™s ASAP Team Awatramani

I am excited this is now published with eLife - the journal. LRRK2/actin cytoskeleton/synapses is a favorite recurring theme of mine ๐Ÿ˜Š. A fun collaboration with Elisa Greggio "LRRK2 regulates synaptic function through BDNF signaling and actin cytoskeleton" doi.org/10.7554/eLife.โ€ฆ

I am thrilled to present at this meeting, which brings together two of my favorite things in life- #LRRK2 and @Greek Islands. Register now to learn about the latest discoveries on #LRRK2 and explore the stunning island of Crete.

Reviewing NIH grants, I totally enjoy the simplified review scoring criteria. Is this research worth doing (significance)? If so, can it be done well (approach)? These two core aspects are what truly matter.
