Please share. In light of recent events & planned protests in many of our towns tonight, we would like to remind our followers that the GAA is a place for all. That includes all communities, ethnicities, religion and nationalities. Gaels have been immigrating across the world

Those engaged in destruction of their own communities are exploiting a tragedy to stir up hate and fan the flames of prejudice. This is a time for leadership and we must work together to find a way forward.

Remembering those who died at Grenfell Tower eight years ago today. Their tragic and needless deaths due to greed, carelessness, indifference and lack of respect. Here in Ireland we've only avoided such a tragedy by the grace of God. Time to legislate for defects remediation.

The level of public spending in Ireland is consistent with what one would expect from a high-income country with rapid population growth. The problem/risk is: a) the extremely narrow tax base, and b) a highly centralised/weak admin state that cannot get value for money.

This morning I joined other Opposition spokespersons to support the #RaiseTheRoof motion in the Dáil this week. We’re calling on the Government to take urgent steps to protect those at risk of homelessness and increase investment in social and affordable homes.

The war in Gaza is becoming ever more deadly and devastating. In what's become a macabre daily routine, more desperately hungry people were gunned down today, as they tried to collect food aid from the new US and Israeli backed distribution centre.

I remember when I was a child being told by other children, Don’t play with him because he’s a fenian. That was the early 70s. This is 2025 and I’m not going to be told who I can or can’t be friendly with. There’s a block button on X for a reason.

I hate this centre-left points scoring 🙄 Soc Dems got a deputy mayor in Wicklow on Monday through a pact with Fine Gael. I can point to other examples. I'm sure there was important local context for each and why they did it. Unnecessary, corrosive, divisive and misleading.

Big news from Irish Rail today. Both judicial review cases against the much-needed DART+ West project have been withdrawn and settled. We now have two shovel-ready rail projects awaiting funding in DART+ West and South West.
