Excellent systematic review and meta-analysis from Nat Hardaker investigating injury between male and female athletes. The 84% increased risk of sports related concussion in females is particularly concerning.

A couple of years ago, I travelled around Australia scanning thousands of feet of netball players. You can read all about the findings in my recent publication “Do the feet of male and female netball players differ in shape? Implications for shoe design”. 1/8 ⬇️🧵

📦 Do you use a Box Drop in your battery of tests post ankle sprain? 👍 It can be a nice tool to help you estimate how quickly your athlete will return to sport when used a couple of weeks after their initial injury.

🤨 Are we challenging our athletes adequately in their ankle rehab? With such a high recurrence of lateral ankle sprains, it does beg the question!👇
