Andy Newell Agreed. I also think schools often struggle to carve out the space to engage with PD in a way that truly develops capacity - there seems to be a strong push in favour of highly "functional" or utilitarian PD in a lot of places, due to resource limitations

Currently reading through the Beyond Ofsted report. So far, very well-argued. What strikes me though is the lack of an explicit focus on questioning the evidence-base for their framework. It's present in the report, but hidden. Without this, feels like no fix can reliably work
