Jaki Lowe Dr David Nicholl Gender Pay Gap in Medicine Review Yes, I agree, all caring responsibilities, elder care and child care. All mainly done by women.

BBC News (UK) The Gender Pay Gap in medicine is coming down, honest! But a way to go still. Gender Pay Gap in Medicine Review

Truthoverdishonesty Business Insider Brigitte Scammell 💙💛 Prof Alison Leary 💙#ProtectNurse On a positive thinking day, if organisations work together, we can reduce the pay gap faster. The gap in medicine has reduced from around 18% to 12% since the Mind the Gap report came out in 2020. More to do, but it is a start.Gender Pay Gap in Medicine Review @DHSC The BMA @MWF AoMRC @NHSHEE_NEY

Yesterday, Health Secretary Stephen Barclay wrote to all NHS organisations telling them to "cease recruiting into standalone EDI roles". Here is the Open Letter the BMJ Leader published from me on his last piece of similar nonsense about equality. blogs.bmj.com/bmjleader/2023…

The government has reached an agreement with The BMA and HCSA – the hospital doctors' union to put an offer to union members to end NHS consultant strikes. This fair and reasonable offer will: ◼️ modernise pay structures ◼️ address the gender pay gap ◼️ enhance parental leave gov.uk/government/new…

Gender Pay Gap in Medicine Review With all the chat on X about the consultant contract vote, don’t forget that one good outcome will be a reduction in the Gender Pay Gap due to fewer spine points leading to faster pay progression

Gender Pay Gap in Medicine Review At the moment the Gender Pay Gap in Medicine doesn’t start to reduce until the age of 67. Women’s pay lags after having children. The motherhood penalty. Reducing the spine points in the proposed consultant contract would help address this.

Gender pay gap in medicine, three years after our ground-breaking review in 2020, shows reduction to 12.8%, however there's still a lot of work to do. Modernising consultant pay scales is one way to help it on its way. Dame Jane Dacre Carol Woodhams

Gender Pay Gap in Medicine Review Carol Woodhams The rate of reduction of the pay gap would speed up if there were fewer spine points.

NYSuriIsOnBlueSky Dame Jane Dacre The BMA Pay scale reform is definitely an improvement. Not sure where this “it’s worse” has come from. It’s not. If you think it is - explain how it’s worse. Shorter pay scales are better for pay equality. Shorter time to top of pay scale is better for all. Is it good enough though?

Dame Jane Dacre Gender Pay Gap in Medicine Review Good 2 see Dr Navina Evans writing 2 system leaders last month on pay equity 4 all & #MendtheGap Sadly race pay gap, 4 #Black medics & colleagues NHS remains persistent & pernicious. Sally Davies 🇺🇦 MWF The Gender Pay Gap is a metric for inequality in the NHS. We need to reduce inequality and the Gender Pay Gap to support all these women.Gender Pay Gap in Medicine Review
