If your non HS sport coach, (AAU, Travel Baseball, 7 on 7), is telling you NOT to play multiple sports in high school they are not looking out for your best interest. They are trying to benefit off our your dollars.

It's amazing to me that I see opposing High School players making fun of committed D1 Baseball players when they make an error during a game or strikeout! Most of the time these players talking are players that haven't left the bench all game.

Players You don't have to be a great player, or even a starter, for coaches to love you as a player. If you're a tireless worker with plus makeup and competitiveness, your coach will love and respect you.

If people have learned one thing from these NCAA Regionals it should be that Mid-Majors can compete on a high level. But if you want them to win and do it consistently Mid-Major AD’s need to INVEST in their Softball programs! If you do Mid-Majors can win!

Parents It's not easy to let someone be hard on your kid. To push your kid. To discipline your kid. To drive your kid to be the best. But damn does it pay dividends in the long run.

PARENTS: Don't build your happiness around your kid’s athletic performance. If you get in a bad mood because they played bad, take a break from the game. Your kid needs to have tough performances to learn, not have great performances to make you feel good. 🗣️ Bhrett McCabe, PhD

Dear old people: Waking up early, being married, going to church, reading books, going to bed at 10pm, drinking less, and staying home more is actually amazing. Sorry I was wrong.

Some solid comments & advice in this take. It's not easy writing that lineup everyday. You know someone is gonna hurt. Players shouldn't take it personal. Keep pushing for your moment. You never know when it's gonna be your turn. Negative energy thru the process will only hurt u

“A coach’s greatest gift is a group of guys that want to be coached- that want to be led. We have an environment where learning and coaching are important and where getting better and developing is important. You can’t be a good coach if your players don’t let you.” -Joe

Competitive athletics are about way more than playing time and wins and losses. Learning to be a trusted, reliable, dependable, competitive great teammate is what it's all about.

Unpopular Opinion- Too many athletes & parents are obsessed about rankings & making “lists” to feel accomplished. Seems like too much emphasis on “POSTING” to validate & prove that we’re “good”. YOUR GAME will ALWAYS speak for itself more than anything else. Focus on that👏🏼

The hardest thing in life is knowing you’re not behind Some people are ahead in their career, but figuring out their marriage Some people have children, but are figuring out there job Some people have a relationship but are recovering from their last one Don’t put deadlines

Parents: Stop: Coaching from the stands Yelling at refs Lecturing your kids after games Talking about teammates Telling your kids to ignore coaching Playing the blame game Making failure unacceptable You don’t need to coach. Be supportive. Offer encouragement & just love them!

The word “National Team” is getting crazy in the travel team business. The amount of teams calling themselves National is very confusing. What does that even mean anymore.

Super unpopular opinion: MS/HS baseball/softball players should take at least 1 season off per year if their goal is to develop & play college ball or beyond. Year round game play is the worst thing for long term development. It leads to injury, burn out, & limits development.
