Two days ago, Greater Manchester Combined Authority told me that they/ Andy Burnham would no longer be commenting on the Arts Council review into Sacha Lord’s company or his resignation (screenshot below). Today, Burnham tells the MEN Lord was treated “very unfairly” by Arts Council. 🧵

Big news for CBSO's Kazuki Yamada who has been named Conductor of the Year at the Royal Philharmonic Society awards. He said: “This is such a special moment for me. The CBSO is a big family, and I am so happy to be part of it."

The dispatch is looking for a small office in Brum city centre. Something for 2-3 ppl with big windows and lots of natural light. Not corporate vibes. Help!

Read my colleague Kate Knowles talking to the The Guardian about Birmingham's bin strikes. Is there any exit from equal pay claims, rising council tax and cratering services? Featuring rubbish bags being thrown into my apartment complex... theguardian.com/world/2025/apr…

Any Birmingham planning experts available to chat to me? It's for a story about The Square (bit near the Square Peg pub and Old Square roundabout + Square Shopping Centre)
