With #planthealth2021 in a few weeks, I thought I'd post a quick explainer on the Widely Prevalent Disease committees, and how we try to support plant pathogen research. I didn't know much about this effort before I joined!

There you have it in NEJM. Pfizer is ~90% effective against delta. AstraZeneca is ~70%. This is similar to effectiveness against other variants, including alpha. Vaccines work, even against variants. Get vaccinated if you haven't already. nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…
