I called this when ‘The Perfect German’s’ took over. And again when Jennings was closed. Carlsberg goes into all the Marstons pubs - until they realise it’s unpopular and need to replace. The five year gain. 👏👏👏

Like the Railway Ticket Office “Consultation” delay - nothing to do with heavy By-election losses and a new General one soon. Is it?

A terrific collab between Thornbridge Brewery Timothy Taylor's Brewery No pleasant half pint here. It has real drinkability. I suspect that genius Rob Lovatt might have had more than a leading role. To him & Andy Leman brilliant brewing. Tx a lot.

Hendos! Hendos! Hendos! If it’s not in the gravy for Sunday Roast Dinner, the chef can only remain second class or lower.

A quote from Harold Wilson at the foot of his statue outside the magnificent frontage & 2 pubs of Huddersfield Railway Station. Question for Team Everyone. Who was the last PM to meet The People?

I listened to these early Bob Dylan lyrics the other day. I can’t think why I’m thinking of Paula Vennells, Stephen Bradshaw, those who got a bonus at the Post Office through this. And of course the programmers and sales department in Japan.

Sad to read of this. I enjoyed this at the time. But let’s be honest - after a couple of numbers, didn’t PDQ Bach become er er not amusing, not much more too offer? But I suppose there’s a lot of humour that over pudds the egging.

Never mind Old Father Time. As ever a wonderful weekend to meet & drink with new friends, old enemies, people you’ve forgotten about and the students. What’s not to like? An embodiment of the distilling and brewing trade. It’s about people. And the Watt.

After 12 a collapsing bus wheezed it’s way to Hebden. Air leak. The sensational driver made the return trip. True late on both trips. By 2 all on time. The Keighley Bus Company fantastic to deal with this. And the team. Put them in charge of the country. Please.

I sincerely hope that Petroc Trelawny is brought back occasionally to continue his travels on breakfast time on BBC Radio 3 after his move to Evening Service. His broadcasting on these adventures is second to none.
