A #Boston man is now facing assault and battery charges in connection with the stabbing in DTX this morning. 33 y.o. Calvin Spencer was taken into custody earlier today on outstanding warrants, including failure to register as a sex offender. Victim is now expected to survive.

Patriots Captain Jabrill Peppers is accused of hitting his girlfriend and choking her at least six times, according to court documents. “My boyfriend put his hand on my neck and smashed my head against the wall, then he pushed me down the stairs,” she told Braintree Police. WCVB-TV Boston

The 34-year-old North Andover woman says the two have been seeing each other off and on for 3 years. She says Peppers got mad after someone called her during sex. Peppers told police a different story, saying he told her to leave after she tried to have sex without a condom WCVB-TV Boston

Peppers denied to police ever putting his hands on the woman, according to the police report. He also claims she fell down the stairs on her own because she was intoxicated. In court his attorney said there’s video evidence that sheds real doubt on the allegations. WCVB-TV Boston

As he was arrested, Peppers asked officers if he could go back into his apartment to grab his wallet, which they allowed. According to the police report, when he was being booked, officers found a bag with a white substance in that wallet - and Peppers stated, “it is cocaine.”
