Powerful and punchy stuff from Danny who worked so hard on the assisted suicide bill. The disguise is indeed cast off and our politicians and wider society have revealed something more of themselves. But all is not lost for light shines in the darkness.

1100 people celebrating 568 team members on 54 Exodus teams and 10 support teams heading to 12 countries. After a dark week, the light shines. God is on the throne and He is good.

Fair point! To be clear most of us in NI do know what sex means. While the 2010 Act doesn’t apply here I don’t see how any challenge would meet the 6 elements set out in the SPUC case. Ashers round 2 🍿

Great to be Summer Madness - brilliant to see so many young people encountering Jesus - and be part of a seminar on the difference between prayer and manifesting.

Great piece by ⁦James Eglinton⁩ on the assisted suicide debate - “In Christian theology, you cannot be owned by the state, by another human being or even by yourself. You are a person, it a piece of property.”

This seems like a good result for freedom of speech and expression in Australia. Not perfect, but pushes back the significant overreach by Australia’s e-safety commissioner.

Brilliant women’s quarter final in front of a packed house on Centre Court. Sadly Alcaraz was way too strong for Norrie. The 50th celebrations continue!

Fantastic time Keswick Ministries - chatting about Evangelical Alliance and Both Lives - great engagement in our seminars on the beginning and end of life. Also good to catch up with some old Uni friends and Elfed Godding who used to lead our work in Wales. As well as some beautiful scenery!

London is always fun. Briefing some civil servants and then passing Downing Street on my way home - never disappoints. Now a late flight home - all in a long day’s work for ⁦Evangelical Alliance

A quirky summer article but the good news is that most churches do offer gluten & alcohol free alternatives. Those insisting on the need for gluten or alcohol in communion are missing the point - from a theological perspective - but there’s grace for them! belfasttelegraph.co.uk/opinion/column…
