Only 2 MPs covered by BBC East Midlands switched their votes on the assisted dying bill between 2nd Reading and today’s 3rd Reading: Reform UK MP for Ashfield, Lee Anderson MP and Labour MP for North West Leicestershire, Amanda Hack MP. Both voted against having previously voted in favour.

The Labour MP for Amber Valley, Linsey Farnsworth, abstained on the welfare reform bill this evening. All other Labour MPs covered by BBC East Midlands voted with the government, with the exception of Nottingham East’s Nadia Whittome - who made her feelings clear from the outset.
