Today at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), stickers were posted blaming our Jewish president and deans for deaths in Gaza—using blood imagery and a Star of David. This is not protest. It’s antisemitic incitement. MIT’s continued failure to enforce its own rules has created the space for this hate to fester.

I have seen some pseudo-intellectuals claim China pays their "typical" worker more than the US, which is why we need tariffs (I know, flimsy). Interesting how the asserted pay difference doesn't appear in median income stats. ourworldindata.org/grapher/daily-…

After San Francisco voters just barely expanded rent control (RC) to new properties in 1994, lots of corporate landlords switched to condos. Overall, rental supply shrank 25% in the newly rent-controlled segment, compared against similar SF properties.

Now available online: "Minimum Wages and Homelessness" onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/so…. I find that American cities that increased their minimum wages in the 2010s saw notable rises in homelessness relative to cities that did not.

When you get asked to add more controls to your “kitchen sink” regression, what does it become? I’m calling it the “storage shed” regression.

It’s incredible how socialism’s reputation is so wildly at odds with its actual track record—somehow feeding the hungry is equated with socialism even though socialist regimes have done a terrible job of feeding people

Heat kills ~175,000 people in Europe each year and yet they still make it difficult to install AC in buildings because degrowth is a mind virus
