Important from Francis Deng, MD #Radiopaedia2025 re: neurovascular compression of CN VII - from the root exit point to the proximal cisternal segment. Don't forget that the initial segment of CN VII is the 'attached segment' which lies against the pons, all centrally myelinated.

Always a great talk from Lalani Carlton Jones on SIH #Radiopaedia25! Pearls: - MRI brain: new to me is collapse of optic sheaths - MRI spine: main role is SLEC (dural defect) vs no SLEC (CSF-venous fistula), fat-suppressed is best, go down to the sacrum, flow void sign can help localise

Clue to spinocerebellar ataxia 27B (SCA27B): may have high T2/DWI signal in the superior cerebellar peduncles and its decussation. Seen in around half of patients! Reading: - neurology.org/doi/10.1212/NX… - link.springer.com/article/10.100…

Love this bit of medical eponym trivia: what is the real spelling of "Ménière" (of Ménière disease fame)? Should it really be "Menière"? bmj.com/content/343/bm…

This is great work. Extending CTA to 6 cm below the carina picked up 6x more cardioaortic thrombi without increasing scan time or delaying intervention. Should be adopted widely!
