This year may have been rough but these six covers we shot for Kansas City Magazine were each a celebration.

So proud to see our recent series for KC Restaurant Week finally out in the wild. The pandemic meant adding in a little take out imagery to round out the story. We can’t wait to finally dig in!

Felix bonfils was one of the more important early photographers in the Middle East and I just found his book In Arab Lands recently. The portrait of a barber shows the tenderness I recently experienced in the Middle East making some work. I can’t wait to go back.

Running up to the ziggurat of Ur in Iraq as the sun had just set resulted in this shot. We sat in the van for 30 minutes at a checkpoint, watching the sun drop. Luckily we had just enough light to grab some amazing frames and experience one of the oldest places on earth.

One of the top photos we made in 2021 was with Kansas City Magazine for their bar guide cover. We should be sharing even more of an in-depth wrap up with a new site launch in the coming month!
