If you planning to use the June bank holidays for a street party (in Southwark), you have until the 7th March to get your street-closure application in: southwark.gov.uk/events-culture…

Kirsty Lothian Despite objecting and the current, incumbent Chair attending a previous meeting with residents, Southwark Council didnt bother to inform us of this material change to its location. Obviously the loss of public land to private enterprise over this period, esp the noise is a concern

Kirsty Lothian Southwark Council We have to ask why Southwark Council are allowing such a material change to this already contested license? Why didnt they put in a caveat that the org was responsible 4 funding drainage costs as per Peckham Rye Park concerns 3yrs ago? This is outrageous as taking over common area

Kirsty Lothian Southwark Council We are now being contracted by non residents who didn't know of these plans and are naturally upset at the prospect of noise over this weekend and loss of park space for the weeks up to and after.

RyeHillTRA thoughts on the plans by Southwark Council to allow GALA to move location onto the main part of Peckham Rye Park ovr the Jubilee Bank Holiday w/out properly consulting residents despite the obvious noise disruption & lack of access to our public park it will cause. 🧵

Our estate's gardening group are meeting this Saturday. This is a drop in session for residents of all ages, although there is an ask that younger residents are accompanied by an adult.
