Finally received the last document I needed to complete my tax return. I thought I've always been bit weird, as completing self-assessment gives my such joy. Then I remembered how used to tax my Lego ppl as a child

Great to see a former student, Ezgi, now working as a tutor in modern Turkish at Yale, come back to lead a reading group with our current Masters students. We've had a good chat about ling landscape (and dissertations)

patter helped me immensly during my PhD. I can still remember my supervisor say "it's like another person writing" after implemeting some strategies I read about on the blog. An essential resource for any PhD student and supervisor

One of Outlook's suggested responses to emails seems to always include a 'What is this?' option, and part of me wants to respond to every email like this, imagining different intonation patterns that I intend, but which would not carry in writing

After finishing teaching this week, I've just had my second vaccine. And it looks like I will go to Poland in little over two weeks, for the first time since January 2019. Can't wait for some rest!

I'm so happy to be able to attend a graduation ceremony as a member of staff University of Glasgow for the first time

I thought that this semester I'd have a bit more time to do research, and it may be true. Managed to read one article and downloaded just over 10 to go straight to the 'to read' folder. I guess it counts?
