devastated to hear Rick Buckler has died aged 69. I met him when he was playing for The Gift at Peterborough met lounge. Later, when Bruce Foxton joined Rick and Russell Hastings, you had 2/3rds of The Jam and a singer as good as Weller; those gigs as From the Jam were awesome

Today Iโ€™ve heard one of the all time greats of railway photography Les Nixon has passed away. A truly lovely man who was always so, so helpful. He took this pic, one of my all time favourite railway pictures. I will miss him.

How can running a steam loco like this, tender first with little or no visibility for a long distance be safe on the national network? Remember this is the same railway that says a mk 1 without CDL is โ€œunsafeโ€ or putting your head out a carriage window is also dangerous?

Yesterday I was privileged to be asked to do a reading at the funeral of Les Nixon. When everybody left, we were all given on of Les's pictures, randomly.... and this is the one I got. 50012 "Benbow" at Buxton on February 8 1986... RIP Les.

The thought of Wayne Rooney even being linked with Huddersfield Town let alone actually appointed fills me with utter dread. Please Kevin Nagle let this be wholly unsubstantiated paper talk and optimistic bookies trying to fleece more people than anything even being consideredโ€ฆ.

Another benefit of The Labour Party finally trying to rectify the mess of Brexit is weโ€™ll be able to slash the countryโ€™s energy bills by simply heating all homes using the fire generated by all the anger and outrage coming from the Daily Mail Daily Express and The Sun readers!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Another win from Nigel Farage MP, Jacob Rees-Mogg and all the other Brexshit cronies; a great pub in Birmingham closing partly due to their shambolic decision to leave the EU. Will these clowns ever be held responsible?! No, theyโ€™ll just wash their hands of it and get rich

I always believe in supporting acts by a post gig merchandise purchase; as Iโ€™ve got a million tee shirts last night I bought a BarStoolPreachers mug instead. I donโ€™t need another mug, but WTF, itโ€™s quirky. My mate even snapped me buying it! Great gig supporting Levellers

11 years ago, after much persuasion from myself, GB Railfreight named 66738 after Huddersfield Town with Town legends Andy Booth, Peter Jackson, Ray Wilson (RIP) and Patrick Stewart. Today 66738 โ€œHuddersfield Townโ€ still covers the country sporting its great name! Kevin Nagle
