Last night, at special screening of Drop the Needle as part of the Barrie Film Festival, Play De Record owner Eugene Tam was presented with this plaque for his contributions to the Barrie music scene. Thanks to Barrie for coming out last night with a great crowd and atmosphere!

Watched the Play De Record film (Drop The Needle) once again. It’s such great documentation of some of Toronto’s most important early years in hip hop + DJ culture and makes me so happy and proud.

Just finished Canterbury Crescent Filmworks’s Drop The Needle on Apple TV about Eugene Tam in Toronto…probably one of the dopest docs I’ve seen in a while…definitely worth the watch!
