Yesterday, I had an inspiring and empowering meeting with Dr. Rain Midzi | RainCorp | Music Business , one of the most influential creative minds and game changers in Zimbabwe’s music and cultural scene. She is the management behind Voltz JT, one of the most solid and bankable music brands today.

I have been saying this for a while. Most of our radio stations have gone to the dogs. The amount of beerhall talk is overwhelmingly nauseating. I have just read this article in the The Herald Zimbabwe “Broadcaster laments declining radio standards, quality of on-air conversations“

I long for us creatives 2 captilise on tools available to enhance their careers. This thing of blaming government, weak currency, sanctions etc to justify our under average standards. Working together we can do and achieve more 💪 #Soundofthecity by Kwela Initiative T I N O Dr. Rain Midzi | RainCorp | Music Business Plot Mhako

Plot Mhako Caesar Zvayi 🇿🇼 We have great actors and crew talent in the diaspora. Great actors and crew her in Zimbabwe. If only they could work on at least 5 movies and series as a collaboration, I have no doubt that will get Zim film and TV noticed instantly.

Last year, I took a bold leap of faith and launched a new festival in Germany — Moto Moto. I’m thrilled to announce that the 2nd edition of MOTO MOTO FESTIVAL is happening in Cologne on 19 July 2025 at ODONIEN, with an even bigger & better lineup! 🎟️ Tickets: lnkd.in/dC9f_XvY

Last weekend I travelled to the Netherlands and spoke to Vimbai Zimuto about Women & Music In Zimbabwe. This is part of the conversation“In the past, women had no space & voice in the music industry—men had to take on their roles and speak for them.” earGROUND ®
