Steve Simpson's Auto Body students restored three rescue boats for the Katonah FD, which were picked up today. “We very much appreciate the students fixing these boats up for us so we can put them in service and protect the district,” said FD Chief Brian Lehrer.

Brian Duffy’s Introduction to Construction students built a shed that will be used by John Madden’s Urban Forestry class at PNW BOCES. The students designed the structure, laid out the plans, chose the wood, estimated the cost of labor and tools, and got to work!

Congrats to Auto Body teacher Steve Simpson for being selected for a training funded by 3M in Minnesota this past summer. “It provided advanced classroom instruction in welding, painting, repair technologies, and more, which I am thrilled to pass on to my students,” Simpson said.

Mastering a chainsaw is one John Madden's Urban Forestry students' many skills. The class is clearing and chopping up downed tree limbs around the challenge course on campus. The students are making sure the area is clean & safe, while preserving the ecology of the forest floor.
