NYGC Director of Computational Biology Nicolas Robine shares interim results from Polyethnic1000 at Day 2 WCM Englander Institute for Precision Medicine Precision Health Equity Symposium #EIPMPE22

Great talk by Dr. Nicolas Robine (Nicolas Robine) from NY Genome Center, “Polyethnic-1000: Advancing Cancer #Genomics by Studying Ethnically Diverse, Underserved Patient Populations in N.Y.,” to kick off day two of our Precision Health Equity Symposium! #precisionequity

Great talk by Dr. @IyasereMd describing the work of NewYork-Presbyterian’s Dalio Center for Health Justice with population and individual level social determinants of health. #SDOH #precisionequity #EIPMPE22

Our Polyethnic1000 members (Melissa B Davis, PhD Onyinye Balogun MD, MSc, Harold Varmus & Dave Tuveson) spent the day NY Genome Center for a Cancer Grand Challenges workshop. Engaging exchange of ideas across multiple disciplines & institutions. Thanks for the invitation Science and Innovation at Cancer Research UK National Cancer Institute!

Reminder:after a ~30 months hiatus, NYGC’s First Tuesdays seminar is back! I’ll talk about Polyethnic1000

Last week, researchers from cancer centers throughout New York City gathered for the first in-person New York Cancer Genomics Research Network Meeting #NYCGRN in 2 years! Hosted at NY Genome Center by the Genome Center Cancer Group #GCCG.

Our first speaker of the #NYCGRN meeting, Marcin Imieliński, presented his team's work on "Long Molecule Footprints of Backup Repair Pathways in Homologous Recombination Deficient Cancers” #cancergenomics

Next up at the #NYCGRN meeting was Dan Landau, who shared his lab’s approach to machine learning guided signal enrichment of ctDNA. #cancergenomics

Finally, Nicolas Robine gave the #NYCGRN a look at preliminary results from a portion of the Polyethnic1000 samples. #cancergenomics
