felix314159 Agreed! I think the single most important thing we need now is to stop signing fucking hexstrings! Unfortunately the poll has a different context. And I know nothing about fixing this particular problem.

would be awesome if my crypto social graph kept it technical when things are happening in the world or stuck with democratic and peace making takes, just better given crypto is supposed to be tech for global freedom and peace

One feature of ePBS: it enables sending transactions encrypted to anonymous builders (or a threshold of them). Has anyone thought about this and how to implement it safely? I can see of a ton of problems and can't find a single sound use case, but I suspect it's cause I'm stupid

This is a nice collection of problems and situations in which latency edges give rise to geographically centralized Blockchains. Not so much on "how to tackle" these problems. Nonetheless happy to acknowledge that folks at flashbots are championing this important discussion

I don't care which kind of work you're doing in crypto, unless it's dealing with the ridiculous signing situation, it's useless. I just spent the last 3 hours trying to sign one damned tx. I couldn't. I can honestly claim that Ledger Plex + MM mobile suck! Moving my seed to grid+

Georgios Konstantopoulos I think this is a more general problem. If you cap precompiles, you might run into issues with calldata. Or someone could fill the block with KECCAK operations and overwhelm zkVMs. Or you might use LOG instructions, and suddenly receipts become the bottleneck and so on. In

I hope ePBS solves this already, but the real fix would be to figure out blob support in FOCIL or fix the blob gas market so that it's rational for builders to include them. Relying on non rational behavior would never work.

This is false. The headline EIP for the next upgrade (fusaka, targeting H2 25) is PeerDAS this will scale the most secure DA for Ethereum L2s from 6/9 blobs to 48/72 (pending validation on devnets)

When your design uses the block root that uses the post state that uses the block root, and it takes you hours to find out why the hell state roots don't match.
