New preprint + toolbox! BrainTRACE is a MATLAB tool for localizing intraOp ECoG electrodes. It was designed for brain tumor patients, but appropriate for all ECoG implants. medrxiv.org/content/10.110… github.com/dbrang/BrainTR…

No other tools currently exist specifically for intraOp ECoG registration. This was a multi-year collaboration with the amazing lab of Shawn Hervey-Jumper and included Sena Oten, Sanjeev Herr, MS (he/him), Vardhaan Ambati, @youssefsibih, Katie Lu, and Jasleen Kaur (not on X).

Wonderful time at my first ASCO conference. Thrilled to have given an oral presentation on my work and so thankful for the merit award I received in honor of Joe Hogan! Was great to catch up with my incredible lab mates as well! #ASCO2025

Too often, Black men are taught to suppress pain instead of process it. But bottling it up isn’t strength — it’s survival. And healing starts with honesty. This Men's Health Month, let’s normalize vulnerability, therapy, and real community care. You don’t have to carry it alone.

Heading to the airport to catch a plane to AHN Neuroscience Institute for my first neurosurgery Sub-I. There are not enough words to express the gratitude that I have for my research year in the Shawn Hervey-Jumper lab. Incredible group, work and mentorship. Feeling blessed.
