On Thursday, Eco club attended the Ocean's Day event on Plymouth Hoe. They took part in a round robin of activities to learn about conservation and our oceans. They then took part in a litter pick with the resources kindly donated by Clean Our Patch.

On Friday 9th June, 6BW visited the library. They consolidated their learning from the Autumn term about biomes and learnt a little more about globalisation, their current topic.

Year 2 had a fantastic visit from Plymouth University researchers. They were able to make their own greenhouse and completed some crafts to show how a plant grows.

Reception have enjoyed making "Petal perfume" this week.  They have chopped, mixed and stirred to create their own special scents!

Reception had a super trip to Saltram on Tuesday.  The children did so well with the walk and behaved brilliantly.  We stopped for a class photo on the way!!

Year 6 have had a fabulous time celebrating with their fundraising money. On Wednesday, we visited Astor Park and enjoyed playing on the equipment and some games on the field. We all enjoyed an ice-cream or ice-lolly at the end.

The children in 4B have been enjoying their new unit in Computing . They have researched the weather forecast for the next few days, recorded their findings and used them to create a table and graph on Microsoft Excel. Sadly, it looks like a lot of precipitation this week!

🎉 MAX LITERACY AWARDS SUCCESS! We are THRILLED to have been selected as one of three lead organisations for the 2023-24 MaxLiteracy Awards. We'll be working with Prince Rock Primary School & author Simon James and also supporting an emerging writer to learn with us on this project.

Year 4 are half way through their 3 weeks of swimming. The children really enjoy their sessions with their instructors and are making brilliant progress! Mrs Bennett and Mr Walker are so proud of how the children have been behaving and representing Prince Rock.

2U have been busy doing research into joins, folds and materials ready to make their bridges next week.

Last week Art club really enjoyed using paint to create their own Autumn themed silhouettes.

In 1SB this week, we have been looking at Addition using part whole models. We also used counters to support our thinking.

Thank-you to everyone for all your generous donations to Project 35 and the East End Community Resource Centre as part of our Harvest Festivals.  Well done to the  children from Year 2 and Year 5 who were the readers in our Harvest Festivals.

Yesterday year 2 were very lucky to have Hayley from Cornwall Climate Care in to discuss how we can help with climate change. The children learnt a lot and thought about what they could do to help Prince Rock. We are going to try toy swaps, save electricity and walking more!

1J have enjoyed learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali. We listened carefully to the story of Rama and Sita and then spoke about the key message.
