Members of the CU Boulder 𦬠experimental nuclear physics group preparing for the Au+Au run in just two weeks at Brookhaven Lab's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. We are excited to have post-doc Dr. Tanner Mengel Tanner Mengel join the team just in time for sPHENIX data-taking!

A big moment - Dr. Blair Seidlitz, CU Boulder Physics Ph.D. '22, giving his prize talk for the 2024 Dissertation Award in Hadronic Physics at the American Physical Society GHP Meeting this weekend in Anaheim, CA. Congratulations Blair!!

We have had two exceptional undergraduate researchers working with the CU Boulder Physics experimental nuclear physics group this year! Elena Adams and Denali Jah sat data-taking shift at RHIC, wrote their Honors Theses on sPHENIX calorimeter data, and are now visiting grad schools!

Great Quark Matter 2025 conference in Germany last week! Some photos of talks by our CU Boulder Physics group + alumni: * JaeBeom Park, first sPHENIX physics! * Blair Seidlitz (PhD '22), collectivity plenary * Chris McGinn, jets plenary * Sruthy Das (PhD '24), flash talk award

Pics of our CU Boulder Physics experimental nuclear physics group at the Brookhaven Lab RHIC/AGS Users Meeting! Grad student Sam Liechty won a Merit Award, post-doc JaeBeom Park and grad student Dan Lis gave sPHENIX talks, and I was happy to contribute to the "RHIC 25" Symposium.

Exciting start of sPHENIX data-taking with Au+Au beams at the Brookhaven Lab Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider! Our CU Boulder Physics team Tanner Mengel, Dan, Joey, and Sam were in the control room for first collisions, and myself as (a very tired) Shift Leader the week after. πͺ
