Some selected teaching evaluations from my upper-division Quantum II class last semester. πŸ₯² Here is my offer to students - if you give me your earnest attention, then for three hours a week, I will use every skill in my power to teach you what I know about the physical world.

We have had two exceptional undergraduate researchers working with the CU Boulder Physics experimental nuclear physics group this year! Elena Adams and Denali Jah sat data-taking shift at RHIC, wrote their Honors Theses on sPHENIX calorimeter data, and are now visiting grad schools!

Exploring flower towns and castles along the Alsatian wine route just before Easter. This kid is a natural, at home wherever he finds himself. France is the 7th country my world traveler guy has been to. πŸ‡«πŸ‡·πŸ›©οΈ

This meetup in Freiburg was very important to me - there are four generations of Perepelitsas, from different branches, who came together for this photo. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ’ͺ

Some photos from our week on Mexico's Pacific Coast, with fishing, boating, and swimming in the ocean. Even though I lived in California for about a decade, this was my first time - Mexico πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ is the 47th country I have been to and the 8th for my son (shown here Ghibli-fied 😊).

Exciting start of sPHENIX data-taking with Au+Au beams at the Brookhaven Lab Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider! Our CU Boulder Physics team Tanner Mengel, Dan, Joey, and Sam were in the control room for first collisions, and myself as (a very tired) Shift Leader the week after. πŸ’ͺ
