It's hard not to be deeply impressed by the Bishop of Oswestry. He has brought huge gifts to his office, but it is articles like this that demonstrates that none of it is bluster, that he really believes it, and that our renewal will also be found in reform.

The fire started by arson at the St James Retail Park has been absolutely devastating today in Northampton. I am glad to hear that Northants Police has made some arrests this evening. Criminal activity and behaviour are absolutely unacceptable. #fire #northampton

The Duchess was then guided through key areas of the town centre linked to the fire’s history, including All Saints Church, rebuilt with support from King Charles II after the fire destroyed much of the original medieval church

Happy to share this warning of scam parking tickets. I do note, however, that the scammers charge considerably less than West Northamptonshire Council, and wonder if they've considered a new contractor?

"it demands... that we must all undergo with Christ a mystical death on the Cross so that we can apply to ourselves the words of St Paul, “I have been crucified with Christ”" -- Mediator Dei, quoted in the Office of Readings today.

The commentary on the recent Parliamentary debates on abortion has a rather alarming signal-to-noise ratio at the moment, in which context (and between the meaningless and the unprincipled) this statement is very welcome. forwardinfaith.com/fullposts.php?…
