Excited about this work led by Audrey Reeves Angel Gonzalez-Valero College of Chemistry with Toste Group and Novartis Science where we develop a methionine-directed covalent fragment library and identify a CDK4 inhibitor by targeting a new redox/phosphorylation crosstalk pathway

Excited to share our work on developing a library of covalent methionine ligands and applying this to identify an allosteric inhibitor to cancer-driver CDK4! Huge thanks to the whole team and shoutout to Audrey Reeves & Chris Chang for your support! pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…

Nanostructured gold can be totally deactivated in some oxidation reactions used in therapy when thiols are present... except if you can combine it with Copper-Iron particles! Check our last contribution! INMAdivulga Universidad Zaragoza sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Really fantastic work led by my friend and benchmate Vanha Pham and alumnus @chembiokevin! This study unveils how endogenously produced formaldehyde can chemically modulate distinct proteins leading to changes in cellular SAM pools and epigenetic regulation.

Really exciting research coming out of Chris Chang lab! An oxidative cyclization reaction of the indole moiety of Trp for chemoselective bioconjugation to the rarest amino acid! Great work led by postdoc Shaw Xie and former Toste postdoc Patrick Moon! nature.com/articles/s4158…
