Huge thanks to our team, our funders, and our partners in bringing TriVerity to completion and (hopefully) shortly through FDA clearance! We look forward to making a difference in patient care soon!

Wouldn't have been possible without the members of our lab (students, postdocs, staff) over the last decade trusting me and working hard to make this possible. Special thank you to my mentors (Sorin Draghici, Mark Davis, Atul Butte Mark Musen) for guiding me on this journey.

It’s a lonely job, leading a research group (professor, principal investigator, group leader – whatever you call it). You talk all day with everyone, but you’re mostly alone with the doubts and risks of the biggest decisions. Doesn’t have to be this way and I’d love to change it.

#RHOC star Vicki Gunvalson recently had a near-death experience with #sepsis caused by #pneumonia. Her story is a reminder to recognize early sepsis signs and symptoms and seek immediate medical attention. #SepsisAwarenessMonth rb.gy/1mnycj

Agree with every point Anshul is raising here, especially working with domain experts. We have also seen traditional metrics used to assess performance are not appropriate. Domain experts can help define these metrics.

Thank you @ACEPNow for another great meeting #ACEP24. We broke our own record for the number of booth visitors and meetings, on top of our oral presentation which was well attended. If you didn’t get a chance to meet up, DM us!

Most of the AI hype folks on here talking about AI and medicine have never diagnosed a patient, have never given treatment, have never counseled a patient. I've practiced medicine and built/tested AI tools. We aren't anywhere close to "replacing doctors".

Congrats to all the continued great work at Inflammatix, a great example of translating research concepts started at Stanford Medicine by people like Atul Butte and Purvesh Khatri, and then Tim Sweeney creating a new company working tirelessly toward saving many lives.

For the past decade, Purvesh Khatri and team  have been working on developing blood-based signatures for presence, type, and severity of infection. The signatures were exclusively licensed by Inflammatix, Inc., which a BMI postdoc, Tim Sweeney, and Khatri co-founded 7 years ago.

Thanks to Stanford Medicine for interviewing Purvesh Khatri to tell the TriVerity story following its recent FDA clearance, which started in Dr. Khatri's lab with Tim Sweeney a decade ago. Their pioneering work led them and Jonathan Romanowsky to cofound Inflammatix in 2016. Great read!
