Romanek Péter Zalán at #ICL2024 aimed 1) to share some findings from the interviews with 12 L1 sign linguists on grammar description approaches from his PhD, and 2) to present an emerging practice with a grammar description corpus to describe the Estonian SL at EVKUR - Estonian Sign Language Research Lab. Deaf Studies, Sign Languages & Interpreting Berlin was honored to be a part of the Council of Europe event on CEFR CV in International SL version (rm.coe.int/cefr-cv-2020-i…) today. It was successful in many ways: promotion linguistic & cultural diversity and professionalization of sign language teaching / assessment in Europe. (1)


Together with Ronice Quadros, Christian Rathmann presented first results on phonological, lexical and morphological variability and stabilization of lexical items in International SL at 21st International Congress of Linguists. They are based on short texts signed by 17 signers from different countries around the world.
