In our work (IOP Publishing ), we simulate colliding quantum solitons with quintic interactions using truncated Wigner approximation to show that the post-collision state is hyper-entangled in spatial degrees of freedom and atom number within solitons. iopscience.iop.org/article/10.108…

A short thread on some recent work, where we look at many-body quantum dynamics through the lens of Krylov complexity and find an interesting Trotter transition! Very happy with this one, and amazing work by Philippe Suchsland MPI-PKS Dresden arxiv.org/abs/2308.03851

The first paper of this summer 😎 CERN Quantum Technology Initiative (CERN QTI) program is out! In this work, @titant3k applied the Counterdiabatic Optimized Local Driving (COLD 🥶), developed by ieva, to various spin systems, e.g. the ANNNI model. Go check out the preprint arxiv.org/abs/2311.04282!

New pre-print out on the arXiv! “A numerical approach for calculating exact non-adiabatic terms in quantum dynamics” This is fantastic work primarily done by QOQMS’s own Ewen Lawrence and Sebastian Schmid arxiv.org/abs/2401.10985

Cool new work from my collaborators on systematic methods to find efficient controls for approximate counterdiabatic driving!

DONE!! A few weeks late, as expected 🫠 This should hopefully be out on the arXiv soon and if it gets stuck in the waiting list, I am hosting it on my website either way. Please leave comments/questions if you're interested and have something to discuss! ievacepaite.com/phd-thesis/

Very cool work from my old colleagues (and supervisors Andrew Daley, Jonathan Pritchard!) from QOQMS on arbitrary weighted graph optimisation using Rydberg atom arrays! arxiv.org/abs/2404.02658

New paper out on the arXiv.org today! We show how one can speed up an arbitrary, time-dependent quantum measurement by trading space for time -- i.e. by using ancillary qubits. Thank you to Chris Corlett for putting this together! ...

Dropping in with some good news that two of the last papers from my PhD have recently been accepted to their respective journals, SciPost (SciPost Physics @[email protected]) and PRL (Physical Review Letters) :))) Many thanks to the hard work of all my collaborators! 1/3

The first is "A numerical approach for calculating exact non-adiabatic terms in quantum dynamics", put together with a lot of talent and effort by Ewen Lawrence, a PhD from QOQMS :) scipost.org/submissions/24… 2/3

The second is "Speeding up quantum measurement using space-time trade-off", a project I spent a lot of time on & thought would never go anywhere, if it weren't for Chris (Chris Corlett) and all the wonderful folks at Bristol/QOQMS who put it together! journals.aps.org/prl/accepted/4…

Aaand this is now published! :) The code repo is available for anyone who wants to play around with computing non-adiabatic effects. Paper: scipost.org/SciPostPhys.18… Code repo: github.com/ewenlawrence/m… I plan to write a quick blogpost on the results, so keep an eye out!
