This morning at the #UN 1st Committee the #Australian Govt ceased its opposition to the #TPNW #nuclearban. We welcome the recognition that abolition of #nuclearweapons is in everyone's best interests + look forward to 🇦🇺 joining the treaty.

Proud to have been part of a small step in contesting the legality of nuclear weapons and advocating for the #TPNW - my local council has expressed its support for ICAN and the move to #QuitNukes

There is nothing great or strategic about threatening to use nuclear weapons. As Setsuko Thurlow said, “The development of nuclear weapons signifies not a country’s elevation to greatness, but its descent to the darkest depths of depravity.” #nuclearban mg.co.za/opinion/2023-0…

Great to hear Prof Evans warn investors to have "nothing to do" with #nuclearweapons. Good news is, there's no significant financial impact from excluding these high-risk investments! DontBankontheBomb ICAN Medical Association for Prevention of War
