It's nice to be back at Gradbach Mill for the ECORISC CDT year 1 challenge event. The groups are working on projects looking at perfluorinated chemical inputs from airports, pesticide emissions from golf courses, hormone inputs from WWTPs and land use impacts on invertebrates.

The ECORISC CDT team have had a lovely afternoon walking to Luds church, Hanging Stone and the Wincle Brewery as part of the year 1 data challenge event at Gradbach.

We had a great start today to the ECORISC impact workshop. This is the first time the whole CDT team has met face to face. Some great discussions on what is impact and how to maximize and measure impact.

The ECORISC team spent this morning exploring the potential impacts of their PhD projects and discussed what can be done to achieve these impacts. Tomorrow we will explore what can be done to maximize the impact of the CDT.

Day 2 of the ECORISC impact workshop ends with a panel Q&A session with representatives from JNCC, Defra, the Environment Agency, Natural England, the Rivers Trust, Severn Trent Water and Natural England. Some fantastic insights on translating research into impact.
