I just had to retype a long sheet of instructions relatively quickly and it took me right back to my Mavis Beacon typing days. Is it weird that I felt more accomplished doing that than most of my regular Postdoc work? Did anyone else totally love those typing games? So fun.

So fun to see this fabulous Narayanan Lab grad student Brooke Yeager, M.S. present her research on how tACS could be used to target abnormal brain oscillations and improve cognition in Parkinson’s disease at the Graduate Women in Science 2022 National Conference.

Prospective grads, check out these opportunities to talk to current grads and faculty and visit in person! I will be recruiting new students for our lab this year, and would love to connect with any interested students at these visits.

Fun conversation with health coach Corey Dion Lewis! He's the founder of the Healthy Project thehealthyproject.co. Here we talk about physical activity benefits for cognition and the brain, especially as we age, and potential mechanisms for how these benefits occur.

colleagues interested in physical activity and sleep, are there any open repositories of actigraphy data that are shared in a common data structure for software to access? e.g., like OpenNeuro (openneuro.org) for imaging data

So happy I got to present my new data on interference-related brain activity in young, middle-age, and older adults at the Dallas Aging and Cognition Conference. Grateful for the Sallie P Asche Travel Award and the great organizers! Such an awesome program. #DACC Narayanan Lab

Celebrating “graduating” from my postdoc, but also so sad to leave Narayanan Lab and U Iowa. Truly learned so much in my time here! I’ll miss the amazing collaborative animal/human environment. At the same time, looking forward to research and teaching in the Twin Cities!
