Thanks Queen's University for inviting me to participate in a panel discussion surrounding the Sustainable Development Goals! It was great to hear about many different strategies for helping make our world a better place, and I’m always happy to see young minds get inspired 🌎

As we reach the end of the semester, the Baker group had lots to celebrate, and we did so over some great food at a local Kingston restaurant. Congratulations to undergraduate Spencer, who did an excellent job on his final thesis presentation!

Last month, PhD student Alex MacDonald won the award for Excellence in Collaboration and Cross-disciplinarity from the Queen’s ACS Student Chapter for his collaborative work with Philip Jessop and I. Alex worked hard to get this collaboration going, the award is well deserved!

So exciting to see the Baker group presenting beyond Queen’s campus! Dante attended the Green Chemistry Initiative’s Annual Symposium last week and presented some of his master’s work with a poster. Way to go Dante!

Science Rendezvous was extra fun this year. Not only did we get to show some fun chemistry experiments to the next generation, but I got to bring my little scientist-to-be around as well 👩🏼‍🔬👨🏼‍🔬 Science Rendezvous Kingston Queen's University Queen's Chem Eng

It’s taken over a month but I’m excited to share the Baker group for summer 2025! We’ve grown a lot recently, and our science is off to a great start so far 🧪
