Hospices often struggle to support men's wellbeing at the end of life. Rachelperry & I identified how a hospice Men’s Shed can help. But only 5 of 200+ hospices offer this support. So we coproduced this “toolkit” to help get you started: mariecurie.org.uk/research/mens-…

The toolkit draws on our research with members of a men’s shed, which we shared in this report: healthopenresearch.org/documents/6-13 We identify the ways men’s sheds are “an essential part of the [hospice] service” for men who are bereaved, caring for, or have a life limiting illness.

Research led by John MacArtney & Rachelperry found that the Men's Shed has been essential in providing support for men who are caring / cared for someone, or who live with a life-limiting illness. We spoke to the researchers to find out more 👇 mariecurie.org.uk/blog/the-impor…

So today I had the absolute pleasure of attending judging for the #NTAwards with the lovely Rachelperry. We were able to share our experiences as research nurses in hospice and palliative care, and hopefully highlighted the importance of this role 🫶🏻
