Results of OCTOBER trial presented at #ESCCongress: In patients with coronary bifurcation lesions, PCI with optical coherence tomography guidance was associated with a lower incidence of major adverse cardiac events at a median of 2 years than angiography-guided PCI.

Network meta-analysis from 20 RCTs including 12,428 patients followed up for 6-60 months showed that compared to angio-guided PCI, IVI-guided PCI with OCT or IVUS reduce TLF by 31%, driven by 46%, 20%, and 29% reductions in cardiac death, TV-MI, and TLR respectively #ESCCongress
